He has been married for 14 years to Ciin Munsuang (Lamnu), a dedicated Credentialed Diabetes Educator and registered nurse with additional qualifications in Education, Interpreting and Translating. Together, they have one child and pray for more, trusting in God’s perfect plan for their family.

A Calling to Serve

Pastor Steve’s journey to ministry is a testament to God’s leading in his life. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Commerce specializing in Business Management, a Master’s in Education with an emphasis in Curriculum and Instruction, and a Graduate Diploma in Ministry and Theology.

His career began as a part-time lecturer at Universitas Advent Indonesia, followed by leadership roles in business as a General Manager for a trading company and a Marketing Manager for a not-for-profit organization in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. However, his passion for serving people led him to work with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Malaysia as a Community Development Facilitator, where he worked with Refugee Community leaders to assist refugees rebuild their lives.

After arriving in Australia, Steve continued working in the social service and community development, first in a sustainability project for Environment Victoria and later as a Settlement Support and Project Officer. Yet, through it all, he sensed God calling him to a higher purpose—following in his father’s footsteps into full-time ministry.

 A Shepherd’s Heart
Before stepping into full-time pastoral ministry in 2020, Steve faithfully served his local church as a Lay/Youth Pastoral Worker. In 2024, Steve was ordained to the Gospel Ministry. Today, he serves as the pastor of Rowville and The Oasis Seventh-day Adventist Church, where his heart burns with a passion for leading people to Christ.

His ministry is anchored in:

  • Spiritual Growth – Helping believers develop a deeper, personal relationship with Jesus.

  • Community Unity – Encouraging the church to be a family where love and support thrive.

  • Bible-Centeredness – Teaching and preaching the unchanging truths of God’s Word.

  • Missional Living – Inspiring members to share the gospel and live as disciples of Christ.

With a shepherd’s heart, Pastor Steve tirelessly labours for souls, believing that everyone is called to experience the transforming power of Jesus Christ. His sermons and leadership continue to inspire, guiding his congregations to grow in faith and reflect God’s love in their daily lives.

Through every season of his journey, Steve remains committed to his ultimate mission: To see lives transformed by the saving grace of Jesus Christ and to prepare people for His soon return.
